Sometimes it feels like we’re in a cocoon, bound to a curse of pain, shame, fear, sickness and infirmity that runs through the earthly family tree, but there’s freedom found deep within our heart when we anchor our hope to the tree of life.
A heart anchored to the world — what it’s dished out to us or withheld from us — is revealed through the moth as earthly treasure with no eternal value. A heart anchored to the tree of life will reveal the Kingdom heir within you — the Monarch butterfly. A beautiful manifestation of the evidence that we’re children of God — free with the wild claim that the only prisoner we’ll ever be is a prisoner to His perfect love.
Galatians 3:13-14 – “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
Hebrews 6:19 – “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,”
Revelation 22:2 – “In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
Matthew 6:19-21 – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Galatians 4:1-5 – “Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”
Romans 8:19-22 – “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. “
Song of Songs 8:6 – “Fasten me upon your heart as a seal of fire forevermore. This living, consuming flame will seal you as my prisoner of love. My passion is stronger than the chains of death and the grave, all consuming as the very flashes of fire from the burning heart of God. Place this fierce, unrelenting fire over your entire being.”
